Top Hat

Well, like I mentioned in my previous post, I am going to blog about the top hat I made for my mum. The reason I made it was because this year, her company's annual dinner's theme is 'Top Hat'. My mum didn't want to buy one, as usual, so she asked me to make one for her. I thought it was going to be as easy as the graduation hats I made for them last year, but, it SOO wasn't!!!

I came up with the pattern when I was asleep, funny right?? LOL. But, as I was making it, I changed ideas a couple of times. There was an old black hat in my cupboard, so I used that as the base. I covered the top with white manilla card, to get the top hat shape. Then I started working on the pattern. Below is the picture of the final result. =)

Well, what do you think?? Not bad right, for an amateur like me?? =D Anyway, last night was the annual dinner, and my mum won consolation prize for her hat. LOL. She got a RM50 Jaya Jusco voucher which I told her she has to give me for all my hard work. She just gave me a look. HAHA.

Today is a public holiday, so most people are out. Going to Midvalley with my mum in the afternoon. All the form 5's are now celebrating the end of SPM. So lucky, well, this time next year I will be too!! But not before a whole lot of hard work. Christmas is coming soon too, but I haven't really gotten into the Christmas spirit, since my house isn't even decorated. We're all going to Miri for Christmas, so my mum said no point in decorating the house. Oh well, I hope I'll get my Christmas spirit soon!! Till next post then, ciao!!!

New Moon =)

Well, at first I didn't feel like blogging..but now I guess I should just write something since I don't want to carry out my other activities. On Tuesday, the 1st of December, I went and watch the Twilight Saga: New Moon. Went with Liz, Ramona and Janice. It was awesome!! Janice and Liz were rooting for Edward, since they are both soooo 'ROBSESSED'. Janice actually DREAMT of him the other night, LOL. Me and Ramona were rooting for Jacob, for he has seriously defined abbs!! =D Unlike Edward's, which is said that he had a professional makeup artist to make him look like he has nice abbs. LOL.

Went home around 6.20pm. The girls left earlier, I went to do some shopping in Parkson. Had some vouchers to use up before they expire. I waited for my dad for about 20 minutes. And you will be surprised by how many strange events can happen in just mere 20 minutes, 2, to be exact.

Firstly, this group of Chinese dudes, I think college guys. They were all wearing matching jerseys, with the word 'Malaysia' on the back. My guess is they play for the Malaysian Bowling team. So anyway, they went to a van parked at the opposite side. I wasn't paying any attention to them, and suddenly one of the guys came up to me. He told me that one of his friends wanted my number, and pointed to him. I was like...WTH. I just smiled and said sorry, but I don't know you guys. And he smiled and walked away. Afterthat, I could feel the whole group just looking at me from their van, and when I just casually glanced by and saw that my insticts were right.

I pretty much ignored them anyway, because I had bigger problems. The stupid valets guys have been making all kinds of gestures to attract my attention, and I just plainly ignored them. I seriously didn't know how long I could take standing there alone listening to them before making a scene, if you know what I mean. So, thank God, this security guy came up and gave them all a seriously stern look. Then he looked at me and smiled. And then, he asked me a seriously surprising question, and that was if I was a Malaysian or not!!! I was like...of course!! But I didn't say that la..I just said 'yes' and smiled. He apologised then for asking a silly question. LOL. Then, FINALLY, my dad came, and I went back.

Yesterday was exactly 6 months me and 'him' are together. Well, let's just hope it will last another six months =) Till next post then, which I will be then talking about the top hat I'm making for my mum to wear to her annual dinner, which is themed 'Top Hat'. Ciao!!

Curtain Day

I finally got the urge to blog again after..like a month, or more. Loads have been going on since. Well, I celebrated my sweet sixteen a few weeks ago, shall blog and post some pictures about that soon. Secondly, I will soon be able to hang out with 'him' again, since SPM is coming to an end =D

Yesterday was, what we would like to call (and by 'we' means my family) "Curtain Day". LOL. What that really means is, its the day we change all the curtains in our house. And let me tell you, that is NOT an easy task, since there are so many curtains in our house, mainly huge ones. Every year, we will have this day twice, once in the middle of the year, and second when its going to be Christmas. I managed to escape the first time round this year, in June, since I went to London earlier than the rest. Normally, this day would ALWAYS be a huge disaster. Everyone will be so angry and annoyed at each other for not doing something right or one way or another.

Surprisingly, yesterday was not a disaster at all, in fact, if I remember correctly, not once did anyone got angry, not even my mum, which I have to say, is a huge miracle. Oh well, maybe everyone is getting a bit more matured. Drama-rama!!

I seem to be getting lazier and lazier to blog. =) Haven't updated in 3 weeks!! Well, finals are coming up, and I have to say, I'm absolutely not pleased at all. If there is one thing in the world I hate the most is EXAMS!!! Especially, finals!!

Things haven't been going to great lately. What with the drama between my best buddies. I always thought we were a solid group, could get through anything after the huge fight last year, but looks like the 'green-eyed monster of jealousy' have lots planned for us. I'm not going to mention names, and I'm not going to take sides, because I just don't know what to think, say or do anymore. Currently, I'm just laying low and listening to all the drama, but if it gets worse, I'll have to say that I will butt in, for I absolutely LOATHE fights, especially after everything that has happened. =(

Next topic on the list is my mum. Things have been going great with my parents lately, though my mum's health is in jeopardy. In my last post I mentioned that she was admitted in SJMC. Well, she got out after about less than a week, on the same Saturday of that week. What was actually wrong with her is that one of the disc in her spinal cord, the 3rd or 4th vertebrae, I can't recall, has slipped off position slightly. That's why it gave her loads of problems. The doctors said that after physiotherapy sessions and a lot of rest, it would go back to its original position. Well, that was three weeks ago. Today, she came back from work at 3.40pm, and went straight to SJMC because all the pain has come back, its like, back to square one. *sighs* Her BP was high, sugar level low. She has to go back for a checkup tomorrow. I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best!! =)

Well, that's about it then. Finals start on the 14th of October till the 2nd of November, which is my birthday!! UGH!! I was SOO hoping not to have exams on my birthday!! Oh well, its Biology Paper 1, Modern Maths 1 and P.Sivik on that day. I seriously can't wait for the exams to be over!! I wanna go shopping!! =) Till next post then, ciao!!

Random things =)

Been busy as bee lately to update my blog, and kinda lazy!! =) Anyway, its been what...like 3 weeks since my last post?? Well, not much have been going on since. First of, my eye surgery was a HUGE success!! Could not see a SINGLE scar by the second day!! Was damn happy!! XD

Okay, let's rewind to 3 weeks ago, I got my exam results. Let's just say that it was not quite good, but expected since the topics that came out were solely the topics which I did not learn due to my holiday in Europe. *sigh* When I think back, I have to say, that it WAS actually worth it, even though I missed A LOT while I was gone.

Next on the list is our Leo orphanage trip to the House of Joy. It was quite fun, considering the fact that they ALL speak Mandarin, and most of us were like....confused. Luckily I could speak mandarin, so me, together with Pn.Chong, our teacher advisor and her daughter help translate and communicate with the children. I have to say, they were all SERIOUSLY HYPER!!! Liz met her best friend, which is actually a small boy who wants her to be by her side all the time. LoL, but the best part was at the end of the day, she totally forgot to ask him what is his NAME!! HAHA. Below are some pictures...

Thirdly, my mum has been having pains all over her body, started with the neck, then shoulder, followed by her back and the hands. Yesterday, she realised that her hands were actually swollen, and one of her hands was kinda like half-paralysed. =( Today, she went for a full-checkup in SJMC, and she was admitted. Doctors said that she should be released before the Hari Raya holidays, hopefully. They are going to be running lots of tests on her, starting with the MRI today evening. Let's just hope things get better, eh??

Today is also my aunt's birthday, my mum's younger sister to be precise. I seriously COULD NOT believe it when my grandmother said that she got a RM8000 diamond ring from her husband as her birthday present!!! So unbelieveable!!! Oh well, she's lucky to have found someone like that, afterall, not everyone gets to live happily ever after, right?? *grins*

Lastly, though she could not see this, but I told my grandmother that I will wish her a "Happy 70th Birthday!!" in my blog. =)

One after Another...

Haven't blog in the longest of time!! Been extremely busy, plus too lazy to update ;-) . Now, let's see, since my last post, loads have gone on. Where to begin??

Firstly, our monthly exams are over!! It was okay, but I'm pretty sure that I failed Add Maths since the paper only was based on the two chapters that I didn't learn properly all because I was away on holiday in London. All in all, the subjects weren't THAT bad.

Secondly, its currently the school holidays!! True, its only for a week, but so what?? I'm finally on holiday when my elder brother isn't!! HaHa, take that, Gabe!! =P So far, my holiday has been going exactly as the way I predicted it would be....horrible.

Now, you may ask, how can a person NOT enjoy the holidays?? I'll tell you how. I was suppose to have gone for a minor eye surgery on my left eye on Monday, but NOOOO, I just HAD TO GET CONJUNCTIVITIS ON THE SAME BLOODY DAY ON THE SAME EYE!!! Gosh, I was so MAD when the doctor said that she has to postpone it to Saturday for she can't very well operate on an infected eye, can she?? Now, the wounds won't be able to heal in time for school, and I'll be going to school with a funny looking left eye!!!! UGH!!!

Next, my parents and aunt dropped the bomb that we are going to be spending Christmas in London this year. Its not that I don't want to go, I do, but its just like...too soon!!! I mean, we just got back from London, for crying out loud!!! They justified their argument by stating that my aunt there, is superbly old as we already know, and every year for the past 40 years she's been spending Christmas alone, crying. All because she has no family there. That did make me feel bad, but I just don't feel like going there till like, maybe next year after my SPM or something. *sighs*

Thirdly, my stupid uncle. My grandmother was seriously counting on him to get her a new car, just because he told her that he could and stuff, and told her to go find out details on the new car. So, my grandmother has this SERIOUSLY OLD Ford Laser, about 20 years old or more, and it has been giving many problems lately. Just the other day, the grasscutter was cutting the grass, and a stone flew and shattered her entire back windscreen. She had to repair it by going to one mechanical store so far away in some kampung area, for its really difficult to get spare parts for such an old car. Last week, her tyre just exploded while she was driving and the rest are all needed to be changed.

Obviously, anyone in her position would really want a new car. Since Proton is having an exchange programme, which states that they will trade old cars (20 years+) for a new car with a rebate of RM5000 from the new car price. The Proton Savvy would do just fine for her, for she doesn't need a really big car or anything. So I sent all the details and pictures of the car to my uncle (he stays in USA) for his inspection. He called her up, told her that she doesn't need a small car like that, she doesn't NEED to drive for she's old and stuff. He also told her that if a lorry smashed the car from behind she will definitely die. I was like..WHAT THE HELL LARH!!! That is just SO TYPICAL OF HIM!!! He obviously can't afford it, so he just made all kinds of stupid excuses that made my grandmother damn upset. Anybody could obviously see that my grandmother is STILL so fit!!!

So many dramas occuring in just one week. Plus, me and 'him' are on a break now, for he wants to concentrate on his SPM. I don't mind, seriously, its for the best. But what I don't understand is why we can't just smile or just say 'hi' or something whenever we cross paths in school or anywhere else. The only positive outcome so far this holidays is that I have rebonded my hair!! Its so much more manageable now. Now I don't have to spend so much time trying to tame it.

Senam Robik =)

Its been 3 weeks since I came back from London, and I'm finally getting used to the weather change, but it still can sometimes becomes SO HOT!! Plus, now its starting be hazy again!! Not a good thing for someone with allergies like me...

Anyway, was really great being able to see my friends again!! And also 'someone' =) Been having a blast with them, even though we've been through loads of stress and headaches the past few weeks. Hanging out with 'someone' also was really fun. I haven't felt this free in ages!! *grins*

Today, most of my classmates did not come to school, for we had to do 'senam robik' today. It actually only took up like one and a half periods. Everyone thought that it would be right up till recess. LoL. The amusing part was that all the girls had to change in the hall, and the boys in their own classes. Some prefects managed to sneak a glance at the girls changing in the hall, hopeless la. Some girls were really shy to change in front of so many other girls, for example, my own best friends. *grins*

Anyway, tonight going to Subang Parade after tuition!! Finally out again in a shopping complex!! Well, that's about it then, till next post!! Ciao!!

London & Paris!!

Its been AGES since I last blogged, 6 weeks to be exact. Well, I have a perfectly legitimate excuse for that!! As mentioned before, my family and I went on a holiday to London!!! It was SUPERB!!! The best holiday I ever had!! I followed my aunt and went to London first, and my parents and brothers came the following week. The reason we went first was to help my aunt who is staying in London, to clean up the other house she has, for my parents and brothers to live in when they come down, for that house had just finished being renovated. Met loads of people there, mostly all my aunt's friends. Among them were Pat (my aunt's best friend), Margaret (neighbour), Penny (neighbour), Nelson, Barry, Casey and loads of other people who I can't really recall their names. They were SO polite and well-mannered.

When my parents and brothers came down, we went on our tours. Among the places we went to were The Royal Albert Hall, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Tower of Jewels, Stonehenge, Roman Baths, Harrods, St. Paul's Cathedral, London Bridge, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, London Eye, River Thames Cruise, Madam Tussuad, Aquaria, Natural Arts and History Museum and Greenwich. We also went to 2 other nearby towns, which are Canterbury and Brighton. OMG. They were all SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! Below are some pictures...

When we went to Madam Tussuad's, it was like...WOW!! The wax figures looks EXACTLY like REAL people!! Among the people we saw there were the Pope, Obama, Britney Spears, David & Victoria Beckham, the Brangelina couple, Zac Efron, William Shakespeare, the Royal Family, Princess Diana, Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp and many more!! We also visited my uncle who is staying in a nursing home, called Coloma Court. Below are some pictures in the rose garden of the nursing home and my aunt's garden...

The second week there, my aunt's church had organised an event called the Flower Festival. They had various kinds of arrangements all over the church. It was simply beautiful. Below are some pictures...

Besides that, we also went to Paris!!! OMG. The city is SIMPLY AMAZING!!! We only spent a night there, the Eiffel Tower at night is so...WOW!!! It will start to flicker for about 5 minutes every hour when it gets dark. Below are pictures of it...

Surprise!!!

Had a SUPERB time today in Sunway Pyramid with everyone. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I was going out with Janice, Ashley, Liz and Ramona today. What was actually planned was a surprise birthday party for Liz!!! The people who turned up were Ramona, Janice, Ashley, Sam, John, Elaine, Brandon, Aaron, Andrew, Hon Mun, Rui Zhen, Thineswary, and Liz, of course.

As planned, me and Ashley met Ramona, Janice and Liz at the entrance. We went around the shops for a while, then went to Pizza Hut, where everyone else was waiting. When we reached there, everyone started singing the birthday song as soon as they saw Liz. Liz was kinda shocked, then she turned around, seeing Elaine holding a small cake with a lighted candle on it, with Rui Zhen and Thineswary at the back of her. She made a wish and blew the candle. Hon Mun then gave her a bag containing presents, among them was Thineswary present, a pink handbag and a pair of heels. Liz was so excited and happy.

Once we were all settled down, the food arrived and we all started eating and chatting. Liz introduced us to Elaine, since some of us haven't met her. Elaine took pictures of everyone. When we were done, we all went to Jusco, laughing here and there when someone does some funny thing, which was most of the time. In Jusco, while waiting for Liz and Elaine, Sam and John started fooling around with the sunglasses, then everyone else joined in. When Liz and Elaine were done, we realised that Rui Zhen and Ramona were missing. Hon Mun called them and we met them at the entrance. Everyone was going on and on about how it was a horror movie when two by two people will go missing. LoL

Afterthat, we went to watch 'Night at the Museum 2'. It was SO HILAROUS!!! Could not stop laughing. The best part was that Liz thought that we were watching a Chinese show, called 'I love You'. When the movie started, she realised that we all had tricked her, and started hitting Ramona and Elaine for they were beside her, laughing. It was really funny when Malays and Indians came in the cinema, and Liz was like, how come they all watching, this show must be really famous and good. Then we were all like, this show won an award and is a blockbuster and all loads of crap. Can't believe she actually bought the whole story!!!

When the movie was finished, I quickly went out, saying goodbye only to Liz for I was suppose to be back home quite a while ago. Met Sam later, said goodbye to him when my dad came. I won't be seeing them all for almost a month!!! *sighs*

Well, that's about it, then. Can't wait for Monday's buffet lunch with the girls at Sheraton!! Ciao!!

Holidays!!!!!

OMG. EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER!!!!! I'm so GLAD!!! Anyway, here is the update about this week. On Monday, did our History paper, that was more of less the last paper for us, for the other papers are PJK and Sivik on Wednesday. So, we practically just relaxed and acted as if exams were over!! HAHA.

Tuesday, I didn't go to school. So, just stayed at home and went online and watched TV the whole day, but went for Modern Maths tuition at 2.30pm. On Wednesday, it was Liz's Sweet 16!! It was a quite fun day, what with finishing exams and all. On Thursday, didn't go to school again. I didn't want to go to school so that I won't know my results till after I get back from London. Speaking of London, I absolutely CANNOT WAIT to go there!! Its going to be a seriously fun 3 weeks!!! *grins*
Today, went to school. Was Teacher's Day Celebration. Jo Lin and Afie were the emcees!!! LoL. Wasn't that bad la, was okay. Although, it was kinda embarrassing when me, Liz, Ashley, Janice, Brandon and John walked up the red carpet in the middle to go up to the stage and give the teachers their presents from Leo Club.

Tomorrow, going out with the girls!! Going to watch Night at the Museum 2!! Can't wait!! Though there is more to it!! ;-) On Monday, having lunch buffet at Sheraton with Liz, Ramona, Janice, Ashley and Balqis!! The theme is 'Smart Casual'. I guess I'm just going to wear the new dress I bought today.

Lastly, 'he' started giving me problems again. Ever since he knew that I liked him, he started playing around with how I feel!! On Thursday, I told him what I thought, which resulted him not talking to me. Well, the way I see it, I did nothing wrong, HE is the one who did all those crap, and I was just looking out for myself!! *sighs* I don't know how the hell am I ever going to get over him.....well, that's about it then, ciao!!

Relax....

What a week!!! Finally finished all the Science exam subjects. Chemistry was killer, and Physics, well, let's just hope I don't see my results till after the holidays!! However, I heard that some people in my class got as low as 13% for Add Maths. YIKES!!!

Anyway, Modern Maths was okay, kinda easy most of it. The only papers left are History, which is all objective and PJK and Sivik. So basically, I'm so MUCH MORE relaxed than I've been the past 2 weeks. The best part of it all is that my trip to London is soon!!! I'll be gone for 3 weeks, from 6th June to 27th June. I absolutely CAN'T wait for that!! Though, I'll definitely miss school, especially my wonderful friends and classmates. =(

Went to church last night with Liz and her mum, since it was 'Ascension'. Thanks Liz for dinner!! I curled my hair for the first time yesterday, and I think it wasn't that bad. LoL. Took a few pictures while waiting for Liz to pick me up for mass since it was afterall, my first time with this hairstyle, LoL.

Last of all, my grandmother suddenly has some problem with her legs. They have become really weak, till she has to use a 'tongkat'. That is so unlike my grandmother, since she is normally so strong and healthy, doing all kinds of exercises and driving around everywhere herself. Well, I hope nothing serious is wrong with her legs. I guess that's about it then, ciao!!!

Vanished for Weeks!!

WOW. Its been like WEEKS since I last blogged. Was superbly busy what with everything going on. Now, let's see, since the last time I blogged, one of the major things that happened is LEO I.U. Day!!! It was a BLAST!!!! I can't believe that it was going to be so good. Better than the Interact's!! No offence to Interactors!! =D But you know its true!! ;D

Well, despite all the major drama going around the scene, I kinda enjoyed the whole thing. I helped out in the refreshments later, and I can't believe that we had SO MUCH of leftover food!! Bryan was kind enough to stay back and help us out, one of the only Interact members who did so. Liz was like SO grateful for him to stay back and help out. I was kinda amused by the whole thing. We both talked and talked about stuff for almost 2 hours of helping cleaning up. And I made a major mistake by giving in and telling him something he wanted to know. *sighs* I guess the saying 'don't cry over spilt milk' really applies here.

Anyway, the other thing is my dad is back!! OMG. I could not believe it when I saw him back at home. Since then, everything has been going smoothly, except for some things which I would not mention here. Currently, mid-term exams are going on!! So far, Add Maths was a killer, BM was not bad, English also was okay, History was.....well, let's just say I could do the essay part but not the structured questions. Crazy right?? Normally people would be able to do the structured and not the essay. Well, Biology was not bad, considering I made careless mistakes here and there, Moral, I felt like killing myself when I forgot ONE word for the definition of 'kerajinan'. This is why I hate the Moral marking scheme. *sighs*

Well, the last but not least, H1N1 virus has hit Malaysia!! Well, not exactly, just about 2 or so cases have been confirmed. Hopefully, it would not spread!! Or else I can't go to London in 2 weeks time!! LoL. That's about it then, ciao!!

Hari Anugerah Kecemerlangan - 27

Yesterday was Hari Anugerah Kecemerlangan -27. Went to school quite early, chat with Liz and Janice at the guard house, until teacher came and chase us into the hall. Gabe came a bit later, he was receiving award for his SPM results. Me and my friends were getting awards for our PMR results.

The ex-form 5's who were getting their awards were really funny. They were imitating the choir's moves, shouting out names of people, laughing at everything. All in all, it was quite fun having them there, though they were seriously NOISY. The parents were mostly amused, but some teachers looked annoyed. Who cares. I got a certificate, RM50, and a clock/pen holder. There was a Wushu performance, led by Wei Wern, violin playing and choir singing. Below are pictures of the event.
