Top Hat

Well, like I mentioned in my previous post, I am going to blog about the top hat I made for my mum. The reason I made it was because this year, her company's annual dinner's theme is 'Top Hat'. My mum didn't want to buy one, as usual, so she asked me to make one for her. I thought it was going to be as easy as the graduation hats I made for them last year, but, it SOO wasn't!!!

I came up with the pattern when I was asleep, funny right?? LOL. But, as I was making it, I changed ideas a couple of times. There was an old black hat in my cupboard, so I used that as the base. I covered the top with white manilla card, to get the top hat shape. Then I started working on the pattern. Below is the picture of the final result. =)

Well, what do you think?? Not bad right, for an amateur like me?? =D Anyway, last night was the annual dinner, and my mum won consolation prize for her hat. LOL. She got a RM50 Jaya Jusco voucher which I told her she has to give me for all my hard work. She just gave me a look. HAHA.

Today is a public holiday, so most people are out. Going to Midvalley with my mum in the afternoon. All the form 5's are now celebrating the end of SPM. So lucky, well, this time next year I will be too!! But not before a whole lot of hard work. Christmas is coming soon too, but I haven't really gotten into the Christmas spirit, since my house isn't even decorated. We're all going to Miri for Christmas, so my mum said no point in decorating the house. Oh well, I hope I'll get my Christmas spirit soon!! Till next post then, ciao!!!

New Moon =)

Well, at first I didn't feel like blogging..but now I guess I should just write something since I don't want to carry out my other activities. On Tuesday, the 1st of December, I went and watch the Twilight Saga: New Moon. Went with Liz, Ramona and Janice. It was awesome!! Janice and Liz were rooting for Edward, since they are both soooo 'ROBSESSED'. Janice actually DREAMT of him the other night, LOL. Me and Ramona were rooting for Jacob, for he has seriously defined abbs!! =D Unlike Edward's, which is said that he had a professional makeup artist to make him look like he has nice abbs. LOL.

Went home around 6.20pm. The girls left earlier, I went to do some shopping in Parkson. Had some vouchers to use up before they expire. I waited for my dad for about 20 minutes. And you will be surprised by how many strange events can happen in just mere 20 minutes, 2, to be exact.

Firstly, this group of Chinese dudes, I think college guys. They were all wearing matching jerseys, with the word 'Malaysia' on the back. My guess is they play for the Malaysian Bowling team. So anyway, they went to a van parked at the opposite side. I wasn't paying any attention to them, and suddenly one of the guys came up to me. He told me that one of his friends wanted my number, and pointed to him. I was like...WTH. I just smiled and said sorry, but I don't know you guys. And he smiled and walked away. Afterthat, I could feel the whole group just looking at me from their van, and when I just casually glanced by and saw that my insticts were right.

I pretty much ignored them anyway, because I had bigger problems. The stupid valets guys have been making all kinds of gestures to attract my attention, and I just plainly ignored them. I seriously didn't know how long I could take standing there alone listening to them before making a scene, if you know what I mean. So, thank God, this security guy came up and gave them all a seriously stern look. Then he looked at me and smiled. And then, he asked me a seriously surprising question, and that was if I was a Malaysian or not!!! I was like...of course!! But I didn't say that la..I just said 'yes' and smiled. He apologised then for asking a silly question. LOL. Then, FINALLY, my dad came, and I went back.

Yesterday was exactly 6 months me and 'him' are together. Well, let's just hope it will last another six months =) Till next post then, which I will be then talking about the top hat I'm making for my mum to wear to her annual dinner, which is themed 'Top Hat'. Ciao!!

Curtain Day

I finally got the urge to blog again after..like a month, or more. Loads have been going on since. Well, I celebrated my sweet sixteen a few weeks ago, shall blog and post some pictures about that soon. Secondly, I will soon be able to hang out with 'him' again, since SPM is coming to an end =D

Yesterday was, what we would like to call (and by 'we' means my family) "Curtain Day". LOL. What that really means is, its the day we change all the curtains in our house. And let me tell you, that is NOT an easy task, since there are so many curtains in our house, mainly huge ones. Every year, we will have this day twice, once in the middle of the year, and second when its going to be Christmas. I managed to escape the first time round this year, in June, since I went to London earlier than the rest. Normally, this day would ALWAYS be a huge disaster. Everyone will be so angry and annoyed at each other for not doing something right or one way or another.

Surprisingly, yesterday was not a disaster at all, in fact, if I remember correctly, not once did anyone got angry, not even my mum, which I have to say, is a huge miracle. Oh well, maybe everyone is getting a bit more matured. Drama-rama!!

I seem to be getting lazier and lazier to blog. =) Haven't updated in 3 weeks!! Well, finals are coming up, and I have to say, I'm absolutely not pleased at all. If there is one thing in the world I hate the most is EXAMS!!! Especially, finals!!

Things haven't been going to great lately. What with the drama between my best buddies. I always thought we were a solid group, could get through anything after the huge fight last year, but looks like the 'green-eyed monster of jealousy' have lots planned for us. I'm not going to mention names, and I'm not going to take sides, because I just don't know what to think, say or do anymore. Currently, I'm just laying low and listening to all the drama, but if it gets worse, I'll have to say that I will butt in, for I absolutely LOATHE fights, especially after everything that has happened. =(

Next topic on the list is my mum. Things have been going great with my parents lately, though my mum's health is in jeopardy. In my last post I mentioned that she was admitted in SJMC. Well, she got out after about less than a week, on the same Saturday of that week. What was actually wrong with her is that one of the disc in her spinal cord, the 3rd or 4th vertebrae, I can't recall, has slipped off position slightly. That's why it gave her loads of problems. The doctors said that after physiotherapy sessions and a lot of rest, it would go back to its original position. Well, that was three weeks ago. Today, she came back from work at 3.40pm, and went straight to SJMC because all the pain has come back, its like, back to square one. *sighs* Her BP was high, sugar level low. She has to go back for a checkup tomorrow. I'll just cross my fingers and hope for the best!! =)

Well, that's about it then. Finals start on the 14th of October till the 2nd of November, which is my birthday!! UGH!! I was SOO hoping not to have exams on my birthday!! Oh well, its Biology Paper 1, Modern Maths 1 and P.Sivik on that day. I seriously can't wait for the exams to be over!! I wanna go shopping!! =) Till next post then, ciao!!

Random things =)

Been busy as bee lately to update my blog, and kinda lazy!! =) Anyway, its been what...like 3 weeks since my last post?? Well, not much have been going on since. First of, my eye surgery was a HUGE success!! Could not see a SINGLE scar by the second day!! Was damn happy!! XD

Okay, let's rewind to 3 weeks ago, I got my exam results. Let's just say that it was not quite good, but expected since the topics that came out were solely the topics which I did not learn due to my holiday in Europe. *sigh* When I think back, I have to say, that it WAS actually worth it, even though I missed A LOT while I was gone.

Next on the list is our Leo orphanage trip to the House of Joy. It was quite fun, considering the fact that they ALL speak Mandarin, and most of us were like....confused. Luckily I could speak mandarin, so me, together with Pn.Chong, our teacher advisor and her daughter help translate and communicate with the children. I have to say, they were all SERIOUSLY HYPER!!! Liz met her best friend, which is actually a small boy who wants her to be by her side all the time. LoL, but the best part was at the end of the day, she totally forgot to ask him what is his NAME!! HAHA. Below are some pictures...

Thirdly, my mum has been having pains all over her body, started with the neck, then shoulder, followed by her back and the hands. Yesterday, she realised that her hands were actually swollen, and one of her hands was kinda like half-paralysed. =( Today, she went for a full-checkup in SJMC, and she was admitted. Doctors said that she should be released before the Hari Raya holidays, hopefully. They are going to be running lots of tests on her, starting with the MRI today evening. Let's just hope things get better, eh??

Today is also my aunt's birthday, my mum's younger sister to be precise. I seriously COULD NOT believe it when my grandmother said that she got a RM8000 diamond ring from her husband as her birthday present!!! So unbelieveable!!! Oh well, she's lucky to have found someone like that, afterall, not everyone gets to live happily ever after, right?? *grins*

Lastly, though she could not see this, but I told my grandmother that I will wish her a "Happy 70th Birthday!!" in my blog. =)

One after Another...

Haven't blog in the longest of time!! Been extremely busy, plus too lazy to update ;-) . Now, let's see, since my last post, loads have gone on. Where to begin??

Firstly, our monthly exams are over!! It was okay, but I'm pretty sure that I failed Add Maths since the paper only was based on the two chapters that I didn't learn properly all because I was away on holiday in London. All in all, the subjects weren't THAT bad.

Secondly, its currently the school holidays!! True, its only for a week, but so what?? I'm finally on holiday when my elder brother isn't!! HaHa, take that, Gabe!! =P So far, my holiday has been going exactly as the way I predicted it would be....horrible.

Now, you may ask, how can a person NOT enjoy the holidays?? I'll tell you how. I was suppose to have gone for a minor eye surgery on my left eye on Monday, but NOOOO, I just HAD TO GET CONJUNCTIVITIS ON THE SAME BLOODY DAY ON THE SAME EYE!!! Gosh, I was so MAD when the doctor said that she has to postpone it to Saturday for she can't very well operate on an infected eye, can she?? Now, the wounds won't be able to heal in time for school, and I'll be going to school with a funny looking left eye!!!! UGH!!!

Next, my parents and aunt dropped the bomb that we are going to be spending Christmas in London this year. Its not that I don't want to go, I do, but its just like...too soon!!! I mean, we just got back from London, for crying out loud!!! They justified their argument by stating that my aunt there, is superbly old as we already know, and every year for the past 40 years she's been spending Christmas alone, crying. All because she has no family there. That did make me feel bad, but I just don't feel like going there till like, maybe next year after my SPM or something. *sighs*

Thirdly, my stupid uncle. My grandmother was seriously counting on him to get her a new car, just because he told her that he could and stuff, and told her to go find out details on the new car. So, my grandmother has this SERIOUSLY OLD Ford Laser, about 20 years old or more, and it has been giving many problems lately. Just the other day, the grasscutter was cutting the grass, and a stone flew and shattered her entire back windscreen. She had to repair it by going to one mechanical store so far away in some kampung area, for its really difficult to get spare parts for such an old car. Last week, her tyre just exploded while she was driving and the rest are all needed to be changed.

Obviously, anyone in her position would really want a new car. Since Proton is having an exchange programme, which states that they will trade old cars (20 years+) for a new car with a rebate of RM5000 from the new car price. The Proton Savvy would do just fine for her, for she doesn't need a really big car or anything. So I sent all the details and pictures of the car to my uncle (he stays in USA) for his inspection. He called her up, told her that she doesn't need a small car like that, she doesn't NEED to drive for she's old and stuff. He also told her that if a lorry smashed the car from behind she will definitely die. I was like..WHAT THE HELL LARH!!! That is just SO TYPICAL OF HIM!!! He obviously can't afford it, so he just made all kinds of stupid excuses that made my grandmother damn upset. Anybody could obviously see that my grandmother is STILL so fit!!!

So many dramas occuring in just one week. Plus, me and 'him' are on a break now, for he wants to concentrate on his SPM. I don't mind, seriously, its for the best. But what I don't understand is why we can't just smile or just say 'hi' or something whenever we cross paths in school or anywhere else. The only positive outcome so far this holidays is that I have rebonded my hair!! Its so much more manageable now. Now I don't have to spend so much time trying to tame it.

Senam Robik =)

Its been 3 weeks since I came back from London, and I'm finally getting used to the weather change, but it still can sometimes becomes SO HOT!! Plus, now its starting be hazy again!! Not a good thing for someone with allergies like me...

Anyway, was really great being able to see my friends again!! And also 'someone' =) Been having a blast with them, even though we've been through loads of stress and headaches the past few weeks. Hanging out with 'someone' also was really fun. I haven't felt this free in ages!! *grins*

Today, most of my classmates did not come to school, for we had to do 'senam robik' today. It actually only took up like one and a half periods. Everyone thought that it would be right up till recess. LoL. The amusing part was that all the girls had to change in the hall, and the boys in their own classes. Some prefects managed to sneak a glance at the girls changing in the hall, hopeless la. Some girls were really shy to change in front of so many other girls, for example, my own best friends. *grins*

Anyway, tonight going to Subang Parade after tuition!! Finally out again in a shopping complex!! Well, that's about it then, till next post!! Ciao!!
